In Vedic tradition, specific gemstones are associated with specific planets — Yellow Sapphire with Jupiter, Red Coral with Mars, and so on. These associations form the basis for recommending a stone based on a person's birth chart.
Because the right stone depends on individual chart details, general guidance can only go so far. Where possible, it's worth consulting someone familiar with your chart rather than choosing based on a list alone.
